For its 20th Bal Masque in January 2023, The Mystic Krewe of Apollo de New Orleans presented its own twist on "A Night of Magic," at the historic Carver Theater in New Orleans.
With both an exciting new venue and a growing Krewe, this anniversary ball provided fun for everyone with costumes ranging from Hocus Pocus to the Magic Markers and the Magic Forest to the Magic Eraser/Mr. Clean.
The ball honored King and Queen Apollo XIX Tom Merrill and Andrea Sabillon Halsted, who returned as the Voodoo royalty, and presented King and Queen Apollo New Orleans XX William Stevenson and Ned Pitre, with their portrayals as Dr. Bombay and Endora from Bewitched.
The "Magic" night definitely provided guests and Krewe members alike with a night of food, fun and friends. Thanks to Ball Captain Jake Stout for directing the festivities.
