After a year of delay brought on by Covid, the Mystic Krewe of Apollo de New Orleans got to shine the spotlight again with its 19th Ball, Apollo Gets a Clue, on February 5, 2022.

The Mystic Krewe of Apollo de New Orleans returned to the “scene of the crime” where both the first Apollo ball in 1970 and the 2020 Resurrection Bal Masque were held – the Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter. The ball featured a three-course dinner, entertainment and a tableau where everyone participated in determining who committed the heinous crime. The tableau featured characters and places from New Orleans past and present as the audience and emcees tried to gather clues and solve the mystery.

King and Queen Apollo New Orleans XVIII Dr. Walter Patrick Cain III and Kitty Fouche (aka John Bertrand) reigned over the event, while King and Queen Apollo New Orleans XIX Thomas A. Merrill and Andrea Sabillon Halsted surprised attendees by proving a little voodoo may have contributed to the reversal of their "untimely demise."

Thanks to Ball Captain Chris Bradford for choreographing this evening of entertainment and merriment.
